Cinema chain AMC Theaters has started allowing dogecoin as a payment method, Gadgets 360 reported.
Transactions will be facilitated by BitPay, a bitcoin payment service provider, and consumers will now be able to use dogecoin to purchase gift cards with a limit of $ 200, according to the report.
The report cited the affordability of dogecoin as the reason for the move. In addition, as the gift cards will be able to be used in other stores, dogecoin will now be offered in more places.
The news comes after AMC conducted a Twitter poll on whether it should accept dogecoin as a payment method, and the response was in favor.

Cardano’s blockchain was chosen for this project so that Grace could meet HIPAA guidelines. Ben goertzel, CEO of SingularityNET, said in the report that Grace will help reduce the workload of frontline workers amid the pandemic, and that she will be able to offer companionship to quarantined patients to reduce the effects harmful effects of isolation.
