▲ ALCOVY CIRCLE – Complainant said she received a call from someone claiming to represent her bank. They had his address, account number and PIN. She says she hung up and contacted her bank. The bank said no one from the bank contacted them and it was likely a scam. The bank immediately froze his account and said it looked like someone had done an “account takeover”. The offender changed her password and other personal information and made several purchases. The bank credited his account and launched an internal investigation.
▲ COURTNEY WAY – Complainant says while incarcerated, someone made multiple fraudulent purchases using his Chime debit card totaling $2,393. The complainant said he believed a woman who was living with him while he was away might be responsible for the fraudulent purchases. The complainant said he also never received his COVID stimulus checks which were allegedly mailed to his address. He filed a fraud report with his banks and contacted the IRS about stimulus checks.
▲ HIGHWAY 67 – Complainant said she received harassing text messages from several different numbers from an individual accusing her of multiple violations regarding her job.
▲ BUCK HENDRIX ROAD – In response to a call that a naked man was walking along the road. After a brief investigation, the man was arrested and taken to the Bulloch County Jail without incident.
▲ ROCKY FORD ROAD – A woman driving a red KIA sedan was arrested while traveling at 85 mph in a 55 mph zone. The woman stopped and said her waters had broken and she was going to the hospital. She was obviously pregnant. Bulloch 911 was notified and EMS was dispatched. She was picked up by EMS and taken to East Georgia Regional Medical Center. The husband has been contacted in Augusta and is going to retrieve the vehicle which was left on the side of the road.
▲ BURKHALTER ROAD – During a social check, the subject was seen exiting an unoccupied building on private property. She was arrested and charged with criminal trespass.
▲ LAWRENCE CHURCH ROAD – Complainant says a 2018 8-foot trailer was stolen from the owner’s property, of which she is the caretaker for medical reasons. The trailer was reported stolen.
▲ FLOWERS ROAD – The complainant said one of his neighbors knocked his chicken over on the roadway. He said he believed it was done intentionally and wanted to document the incident in case more of his chickens were run over.
