STILLWATER, MN â The Town of Stillwater is reminding residents that water and sewer bills will be combined into one bill starting in 2022.
Previously, water and sewer bills were sent and paid separately. Now, the combined bill – which will first be released in January – will include charges for water, sanitary sewers, storm sewers and signs and lighting.
Residents’ current sewer service account number will be their new account number for their combined bill. The water account number will no longer be used.
The new bill has due dates of February 10, May 10, August 10 and November 10, the city said. Residents registered for direct debit of their bills will have their payments processed on these dates.
Also, the city reminds residents that: âif you have debits via PSN (Payment Service Network), you will have to remove them.
Meanwhile, for residents who set up the ACH with a void check, “these ended automatically” after Dec. 15, 2021, the city said.
However, if those residents used the same bank account for their sewer payment, they won’t have to do anything as this will continue when the bills are combined in January, according to the city.
Finally, the city reminds residents who write checks for their utility bills that they should use black or blue ink and should avoid including staples or duct tape.
